Since adopting the STEMS system in February 2008, there has been a significant improvement in how we use and control our safety management systems. All staff using Stems have found it to be very user friendly and are able to adapt to the version updates as they come available. One noticeable advantage is that all staff are now completing assigned actions relating to hazard identification and with this is a significant reduction in injuries/incidents and housekeeping issues.

Many of our clients require a full explanation and examples of how we apply safety to our work, with Stems it is easy to answer all the necessary questions and supply evidence of our safety management systems along with mandatory statistics such as "Lost Time Injury Frequency Rates" and "All Time Injury Frequency Rates".

The Stems support team has always responded to any question or issue without delay and if the issue takes time to resolve the support team always maintain constant communication to keep me up to date with the progress.

It is the intent of Jeff Hort Engineering to gain AS4801 certification by the end of 2009. Using the Stems system has allowed us to fast track the application and enter into the audit process with confidence.

STEMS has been a very valuable tool that has allowed TKMH to accurately monitor personnel, their training, competencies, recording safety events, providing notifications and useful statistics, giving accessibility and efficiencies that could not previously be achieved.

As TKMH generally have multiple remote projects running at the same time, STEMS  has allowed online monitoring of each site, comparison of statistics, generation of reports and compilation of statistical history, and has enabled our personnel to store and exchange valuable information between sites, and access to updated company procedures and policies immediately.
